Skimovie brings your own ski style to the internet.
The skimovie course at the Hochmais lift on the Sonnenalm becomes more exciting for amateur racers. Two cameras film every skier or snowboarder from start to finish. Just seconds later, the run can be analysed at www.skiline.cc.
The race course near the mountain station of the Hochmais lift has always been a highlight of the Sonnenalm, although the time and average speed could only be displayed directly at the finish point. Now, every ski enthusiast can analyse the time and the film of his more or maybe less elegant ski swing with friends at home.
The skimovie system works with every Schmitten ski pass. At the start of the race course, a hands-free card reader recognizes the ski pass and starts filming. A camera in the start hut documents the seconds before the starting jump and the race against time. Than an automatic moving camera "follows" the skier until the finish line. A few moments later, the video clip can be viewed worldwide over the internet. From there you can send it to friends at home, as with the favoured fotos from the Photopoint on the Sonnkogel.
