The Schmitten is no longer a well kept secret, every hang glider pilot and paraglider knows that they are in what is considered one of the best flying areas. From May onwards, fans of flying sport can glide up to 2000 m in the air. At the Schmittenhöhe mountain station there is ample space at hand for the pilots to set up their equipment
and prepare for their flight without disturbance. Take off is possible in all directions from the wide meadow terrain.
Introduction to paragliding
