Information on the current situation

As soon as the snow conditions allow, we will start the winter season 2021/22 with a few high-altitude cable cars. We are trying hard and are doing our best to be able to offer skiing fun in these special times soon. We will keep you up to date and as soon as the date of the season start is fixed, we will communicate it here and through our channels.

*ATTENTION: A situation-related decision on the open cable cars is announced every week.

The new ALPIN CARD makes it happen: Unlimited slope-fun in the three premium-ski areas Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See, Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn und Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun.

There are also many red moderate pistes in the ski area of the Schmitten that are perfect for experienced skiers who like to discover the mountain with its 17 red pistes having a total length of 28 km.

FIS Rules of Conduct

Like all sports, skiing and snowboarding entail risks. The FIS rules of conduct, as an ideal pattern of conduct for a responsible and careful skier or snowboarder, have the purpose to avoid accidents on the slopes.

Piste closure on the Schmittenhöhe

In order to ensure optimal snow distribution and preparation, the slopes are closed in the evening from 4:00 p.m. Our piste machines are then in use, and some of them are attached to cable winches, so skiing on the slopes is simply too dangerous! The freshly prepared snow must also rest. Only then will there be super-prepared and resilient descents the next day!
