The Pinzgau Stroll is one of the most beautiful high trails in the eastern alps with breathtaking views to the snow covered peaks of the “Hohe Tauern“ national park, the “Salzach” valley and the “Kitzbüheler Alpen”. You will see famous peaks like Großglockner, Kitzsteinhorn, Granatspitze, Sonnblick and Großvenediger on the way.

Advice: start early at 8:15 am and take the first cable car of Schmittenhöhebahn to the summit
Hiking boots are mandatory. Hiking and rain clothes are recommended. Bring along plenty of drinks and food as there is no possibility to buy something on the way.
Ascent with Schmittenhöhebahn up to 2,000 m altitude. Follow the signs along the Pinzgau Stroll to Saalbach. There you will take the SchattbergXpress cable car down to Saalbach and the Postbus back to Zell am See.
Security Note: The Pinzgau Stroll is not a difficult but a very long walk!!!
