Company kindergarten Kunterbunt

Since autumn 2025, the company kindergarten Kunterbunt, the only inter-company childcare facility in Pinzgau and the province of Salzburg, has been providing relief for employees of nearby companies and private individuals.
Opening company kindergarten
After three years of project development, the kindergarten was officially opened at the beginning of October 2025. Invited guests were able to view the premises, while the children at the childcare facility provided musical entertainment together with the teachers. The particularly long opening hours and year-round operation (with the exception of a legally required two-week closure for thorough cleaning and annual planning) are tailored to the needs of the retail, cable car and tourism industries. Schmittenhöhebahn AG and Hagebaumarkt Ebster, together with AMD Salzburg, are thus setting an example in terms of family friendliness.
The kindergarten has space for 48 children aged between 1 and 6. Divided into four groups, the child-friendly and brightly designed rooms offer plenty of opportunities for playing, learning and being happy.

Thermal refurbishment
As part of the refurbishment work on the company nursery, the existing building underwent extensive thermal refurbishment. The work included, amongst other things, insulating the building envelope and replacing windows and doors to improve thermal insulation. These structural measures lay the foundations for reduced heating and cooling energy requirements, as well as a comfortable indoor climate for carers and children.
