Booking and cancellation
- Booking has to be made in written form one week ahead
- Cancellation fee: 50 % within one week, 100 % within 24 hours before booked date

Culinary on the ship for each occasion
Select from a wide choice of refreshing beverages, elegant wines, coffee specialties, delicacies from the boat’s kitchen and delicious ice creams and strudels. The crew on board looks forward to your visit. On reservation, we arrange coffee and cakes for groups on panorama-cruises. For charter cruises, i.e. birthday parties, company celebrations or weddings, we organise individually-designed menus or a special buffets, just the way you imagine it.

on charter trips on Lake Zell
Yes, the boats on Lake Zell can be chartered for special occations. The boats are available for corporate events, birthdays, weddings or private events:
- MS Schmittenhöhe: up to 120 people
- Electric boat Maria Franziska von Trapp: up to 80 people
- Kaiserin Elisabeth: up to 40 people
- Libelle vintage boat: up to 20 people (back in sevice from August 2026)
Yes, groups should book in advante by telephone or email. For charter trips, it is essential to contact the shipping office in advance to check the ships availability, in order to ensure everything runs smoothly. For enquiries, please contact schiff@schmitten.at or call +43 6542 / 789 - 500. Charter trips must be booked at least two weeks before the desired date.
Catering arrangements will be coordinated with the shipping office, depending on the boat and the event. Fot further information, please contact schiff@schmitten.at. The MS Schmittenhöhe, the electric boat Maria Franziska von Trapp and the Kaiserin Elisabeth all have toilets on board.
Groups travelling by bus can get off at Zell am See railway station and walk from there to the Esplanade in Zell am See in just a few minutes.
Group tours travelling by bus can park theis bus in the bus park at the Zell am See Leisure Center and walk from there to the Esplanade.
