You’re looking for a varied bad-weather activity on the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See? How about the Kids Indoor Park Areit 1400? The former Areit 1400 vintage car exhibition has been transformed into the new indoor playground thanks to the passion and commitment of our employees. A special experience for the whole family – especially on days when the weather isn’t so great.

Slide car track & bouncy castle

At areitXpress mountain station, the Kids Indoor Park offer an unforgettable experience for the whole family. Children can let off steam on the slide car track with traffic signs and Schmidolin's bouncy castle, even in bad weather.

Indoor Offroad Park

The remote-controlled model cars can be dricen over a specially designed obstacle course in the sheltered area of the former Areibahn mountain station, even in rainy weather. The vehicles are available at the E-Motocross Park and can then conquer the course.

Gamecorner

Various slot machines, billards and much more await you in the Gamecorner. The ideal meeting place for all people looking forward for an alternative in bad weather.

Timetravel through ski hisory

For visitors, whether big or small, a journey thourhg the history of skiing awaits. A regional ski collection from the last 100 yeayrs shows the development of skiing.

In 2017, the Schmitten celebrated its 90th birthday – nine decades celebrated with the anniversary exhibition “Tradition & Innovation since 1927”. Besides the mountain station of areitXpress, there’s another location that lets you go on a journey back in time. At the mountain station of Areitbahn II at 2,000 metres above sea level, everything revolves around the history of Salzburg’s first cable car. .
