At the summit station of Schmittenhöhebahn, Zell’s iconic landmark mountain, you’ll embark on a fascinating journey through its eventful history. Spread across 120 square metres of exhibition space, you’ll gain a vivid glimpse into Schmitten’s 90-year cable car legacy. Equally captivating as the numerous historical photographs are the two recreated gondolas, representing the first and sixth (latest) generations of Schmitten cable cars, awaiting visitors at the exhibition.
