Did you know why the slopes on the entire Schmittenhöhe are closed to skiers from 5 pm?
In the evening, the piste machines, some of which are attached to cable winches, are deployed in order to distribute and prepare the snow optimally. Driving on the slopes is than simply too dangerous! In addition, the freshly prepared snow must also rest. Only then there will be super-prepared slopes the next day!
