Trass descent in Zell am See

Your heart starts racing. The adrenaline rises. A descent with more than four kilometres in length and 70 percent gradient lies right ahead of you. One thing’s for sure: That can only be the legendary Trass descent!

Good to know: The Trass descent is a steep slope with a gradient of up to 70 per cent and, thus, not suitable for inexperienced skiers!
Speedy, speedier, Trass descent
The start is at the start box – only a few metres away from Elisabeth Chapel. First, head down blue slope number 1 – past the Panorama Restaurant and the trassXpress mountain station. Keep left and take a turn onto Breiteckalm. Then continue on black slope number 14. From then on, brace yourself!
By the time you reach the finish line, your thighs will be on fire – just like they would in professional skiing. The track ends at the valley station of the Schmittenhöhebahn.
Fascinating: The best time for the descent was accomplished by Manfred Mandler in 2017. He mastered the slope in 3 minutes and 30.27 seconds! Challenge accepted? Then grab a ski pass for the Schmittenhöhe!
