The 17th International Schmitten Downhill Golf Trophy

What can you expect?
The International Schmitten Downhill Golf Trophy is a particularly fascinating golf tournament that combines traditional golf with the breathtaking backdrop of the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See. The game is played exactly where the skiers plunge down into the valley in winter. 

- Starting time: 08.30 am 
- Early bird participation fee until 30 June 2026: € 99,00 per person
- Regular participation fee from 1 July 2026: € 119,00 per person 
- included in the ticket: ascent with the Schmittenhöhebahn, breakfast at Berghotel Schmittenhöhe, halfway stop, descent with the areitXpress, cocktail and award ceremony

Rules of the game:
Format: Texas Scramble in teams of four over 13 holes, from the trassXpress mountain station to the AreitAlm.
Scoring: all team handicaps are added together and then divided by the number of players. It is a stroke play competition where every stroke counts. Maximum playing time is 4 hours. The game is not played according to the rules of the R&A CC St Andrews, nor according to the ÖGV competition conditions. Special course rules will be announced.
