Beauty of nature as far as the eye can see – the view from Zell’s landmark mountain is fantastic no matter where you are. But there are a few locations where the view is even more breath-taking and impressive. Here are our top three: 

  • Schmittenhöhe: From the mountain station, you can see more than 30 three-thousand-metre summits! 
  • Plettsaukopf: The lake for families is one of three reservoir ponds up on the Schmitten and always worth a photo. There are guided hikes to the impressive viewpoint as well. 
  • Salersbachköpfl: A must for great holiday snapshots: the Salersbachköpfl at 1,920 metres above sea level. It’s located on the High-Altitude Promenade between Hochzeller Alm and Sonnkogel.

There are two Photo Points where you can take a picture of yourself. The first one is located on the panorama platform of Sonnkogel Restaurant and the second one is at Schmitten Café. The stunning and almost cheesy backdrop of mountains and lake is bound to turn every picture into an incredible holiday memory.
