The Schmittenhöhebahn AG offers a variety of winter tickets for families. Parents will appreciate that young children can use the cable cars and lifts free of charge when accompanied by an adult. Additionally, ski pass prices are staggered according to age, with different tickets for adults, youths and kids.

Special offers make skiing with children on the Schmittenhöhe even more appealing. For instance, if your little ones have just taken up the sport, discounted tickets are offered that are valid only for the valley lifts. Plus, every Saturday, children and youths can use the cable cars and lifts for just 15 euros with the Junior XPLORE CARD youth ticket.

Obstacles, waves, tunnels, slalom courses ... The Kidsslope boasts one thrilling attraction after another. Particularly exciting: On the child-friendly ski run, Schmidolin, the Schmitten dragon, keeps young skiing enthusiasts entertained with his fascinating tales. This makes skiing in Zell am See even more fun for children!

Schmidolin Club

Young fans of the Schmitten dragon – aged four to ten – can join the Schmidolin Club. After registering, you and your children will benefit from exclusive advantages.

To sign up, simply email the completed registration card for your child to schmidolin@schmitten.at. Alternatively, you can register by post. Please send your card to Schmittenhöhebahn AG, Postfach 8, 5700 Zell am See.

Once registered, members are the first to receive the latest news and dates for upcoming Schmidolin events. Additionally, participation in the Schmidolin Ski Day and Schmidolin’s Olympic Games is free of charge. Twice a year, Schmidolin mail will arrive in your postbox – and on your child’s birthday, they will receive a letter of congratulations from the Schmitten dragon himself.

At the Schmittenhöhe ski resort in Zell am See-Kaprun, you can expect comprehensive services for your family holiday. With dedicated lifts, children’s areas and various runs designed especially for children, your little ones can enjoy their time at the resort to the fullest. During children’s skiing lessons, budding pros playfully practice their turns. Trained ski instructors also support them on their first lift rides and teach them essential tips and rules for safe skiing.

If you’d like to rent equipment for your children, you can do so at the ski hire shops right at the valley stations. Bookings can also be made online.

For those who have outgrown the Kidsslope, the next challenge awaits: On the Funslope XXL, young skiers zoom over obstacles, bridges and through mysterious tunnels. The Ski Run is perfect for racing against siblings and peers. Daredevil teenagers can kickstart their freestyle careers on the obstacles and jumps of the Schmittenhöhe Snowpark.
