Culinary joys on the Schmittenhöhe

The Schmittenhöhe isn’t just the “sun child” of the Alps. It’s also the place to be for gourmets! An eternal crowd favourite are the traditional culinary delights prepared with lots of passion and love. That’s what you’ll taste with every bite – be it during a break at one of the huts or during one of the many culinary events at 1,965 metres above sea level. Amongst them: the Pinzga Tåg or the Ski’n’Brunch. Both events skilfully combine skiing and culinary joys.

You’ll see: The cable car ride up the mountain to the huts and restaurants on the Schmitten is an experience in itself!

The traditional side of the Schmitten

If you’d like to go on a journey back in time to 100 years ago on your holiday, you should visit the “Areit 1400” exhibition. Be prepared to be amazed by the mix of historic vintage cars and mopeds and have a look at the regional ski collection from 100 years on the Schmitten.

If you’re thinking that’s only something for adults, think again: In summer, little visitors feel right at home at the Games Corner. In the kids’ area of the museum, futuristic games can be tested live and interactively. Children of all ages can prove their skills on the slot car racing track or during a game on the latest Sony PlayStation.

As you can see: Plenty of activities and culinary highlights are waiting for you off the slopes! Be it ski touring on the Ronachkopf or snowshoe hiking on the Schmittenhöhe.
